Meet Your Prerequisites
  • Minimum Age: 21+ Years Old
  • License History: Held a Full, Unrestricted Car Licence for 3 of the last 4 years.
  • Your Record: A safe driving record (minimal demerit points).
Pass State-Level Checks
  • Medical Check: Pass a commercial driver's health assessment.
  • Safety Clearance: Obtain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Mandatory Tests: Pass the required Instructor Knowledge Test and the High-Standard Practical Driving Test.
Complete Accredited Training
  • The Qualification: Successfully complete the TLI41222 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training.
  • The Content:In-depth instruction on teaching techniques, road law, risk management, and student assessment.
  • The Goal: Graduate with the expertise to confidently teach safe, low-risk driving skills
Get Your Instructor Licence
  • Submission: Receive your official Driving Instructor Licence, valid for five years.
  • Final Approval: Receive your official Driving Instructor Licence, valid for five years.
